A dog was dropped off at a shelter after it mounted a dog of the same gender.
Dogs are equal opportunity mounters--they'll hump any gender, any age, doesn't even really matter what the species is. But one dog owner was apparently not so open-minded.
In a Facebook post, an organization called Jackson TN Euthanasia posted a picture of a dog, saying that it was discarded by its owner and sent to a shelter. Why? Because he mounted a male dog. "His owner says he's gay! He hunched another male dog so his owner threw him away because he refuses to have a 'gay' dog!," the Facebook post says.
The internet would not stand for doggie discrimination. After the post went viral, the Jackson, Tennessee shelter where the pup was kept was flooded with phone calls, The Tennessean reported.
But people can stop calling because the dog has already been adopted. The new owner is Stephanie Fryns, a veterinary tech from Jackson, ABC News reported. She's naming her new pet Elton.
