Lets weigh in on mysterious pink objects seen in skies. A pink domed object captured in the sky by Google Street view is the second UFO sighting by the trolling cameras in mere months according to experts - but that's by going by its literal definition.

The mysterious object seen over the skies of St Peters, Missouri, first caught the attention of a woman looking for directions on the popular search engine along Dingledine Road. When she pulled the camera's angle a little too high on her computer screen she saw what she felt needed immediate attention.

Putting the object to the test, St Louis news station KPLR took the image to Director John Lakey of St Louis' McDonnel Planetary Center. 'That's almost certainly a lens flare effect,' he said moments after glancing at the image.

'An alien space craft is probably one of the least likely things that an unidentified flying object would be, just because the distances between stars are just too vast for any kind of realistic travel.'

Still, he added: 'It's a UFO, it's unidentified. By definition it's an unidentified flying object or some object that just, we don't know what it is.'

This wasn't the first time Google images caught something strikingly similar in the skies, raising eyebrows in other parts of the planetary community.

A similar domed pink object was captured by Google Street View in Jacksonville, Texas last September, a sighting that was described as 'a legitimate craft,' by one UFO expert.
