A Brazilian Model has caused a Twitter storm by posting pictures of herself posing amid the destruction caused by Superstorm Sandy. Nana Gouvea, 30, went out after the hurricane passed to be photographed pouting amid the devastation.
The New York-based Brazilian - who has reportedly appeared in Brazilian Playboy - showed a terrible lack of judgement posting the images of her standing on a car crushed by a fallen tree.
She also posed next to a shattered tree trunk and stood in the middle of a debri-strewn road. Gouvea then made matters worse by giving an interview to a Brazilian magazine saying she loved hurricanes.
She said that Sandy - which has left at least 90 people dead and devastated the lives of tens of thousands - let her and her husband spend time in bed together.
US website Gawker struck out at the model, writing: "The turmoil following a devastating natural disaster is a great opportunity to get out there and try poses, angles, and wardrobe choices you normally wouldn’t. "This is a time for introspection and re-examining your personal style. Also a great time to stomp all over cars and things."
Thousands of angry New Yorkers vented their anger at the model on Twitter and images have gone viral of a pouting Gouvea photoshopped into other famous historic snaps - such as the Hindenberg disaster and at the Tiananmen Square massacre.
