Hong Kong tycoon Sze-tsung Chao offered a whopping HK$500 million (US$64,479,500) to any man that would marry his lesbian daughter, Gigi Chao.
“I do not mind whether he is rich or poor. The important thing is that he is generous and kindhearted. Gigi is a very good woman with both talents and looks. She is devoted to her parents, is generous and does volunteer work,” he said.
What was Gigi’s reaction?
Instead of being angry, she saw her father’s announcement as an act of love.
“I wasn’t angry at all. I was really quite touched, very touched and very moved, by daddy’s announcement. I mean, it’s really his way of saying ‘Baby girl, I love you. You deserve more,’ basically,” she said.
Gigi received a lot of emails and Facebook friend requests after her father made the announcement. Gigi, 33, even said that the responses were quite entertaining.
Miss Chao was rumored to have planned to get married to a woman abroad. Chao neither confirms nor denies the claim.
