The launch of Apple Maps has proved one of the most embarrassing chapters in the company’s recent history, with CEO Tim Cook forced to issue a public apology on Friday over the firm's flawed maps software.
Now the embarrassment continues, as Mad magazine has chosen to spoof the disastrous app launch.

The hilarious mock cover is a parody of Saul Steinberg's iconic 1976 New Yorker magazine cover. The 2012 Mad version pokes fun at Apple’s woes by making some pretty radical changes to the geography of New York and blaming Apple Maps.

On the Mad cover, which appears on their blog, 10th Avenue has become the Champs Elysees, the Hudson River has become the Sea of Galilee and Canada has become Chad.

These changes are an exaggerated version of problems experienced by Apple Maps users since it launched. New Yorkers have complained that the map app moved Lexington Avenue to New Jersey, the Washington Monument moved across the street and the Brooklyn Bridge was half under the East River.
