As posted by Daily Mail a cartoonist for the New Yorker is laughing that his witty cartoon was pulled from the high-brow magazine's Facebook page for being too racy.

Mick Stevens drew an illustration depicting a topless Adam and Eve, with nipples exposed, resting beneath a tree in the Garden of Eden with the caption 'Well, it was original,' referencing the Biblical figures responsible for the fall of man into original sin, according to the Book of Genesis.

The first couple were drawn with their knees conveniently upright, blocking their frontal parts below the waist.

The Conde Nast publication, known for its ironic drawings, posted the pic on their Facebook page on August 31 but it was pulled because it violated the website's guidelines prohibiting sexually graphic images.

According to the rules of engagement for Mark Zuckerberg's site, obtained by Gawker, the social network will take down any pictures that show 'naked 'private parts' including female nipple bulges and naked butt cracks.'

Robert Mankoff, the editor for the magazine's iconic illustrations, couldn't help but laugh over the controversy in a blog posting entitled 'Nigglegate,' pointing out that the nipples in question were represented as two very innocent dots and were definitely not bulging.

'Now, we could have fought the ruling on technical grounds, because, let's face it, these female nips, by any stretch of the imagination, no matter how prurient, are just not bulging,' Mankoff wrote about the controversy over the simplified representation of female breasts.

CONTROVERSY

But We all know that there are many pages on Facebook filled with vulgar pictures some even crossing all the limits and can be counted as pornography but they are there with a huge user engagement and Facebook ignores them as they generate millions of page views which simply means more business whereas Facebook delete such cartoons and other pictures for instance picture of gay couple just to pretend how clean they are.

Here are examples of such pages with more than 100k users;
