No, they are not going to rob a bank... they are just off to the beach! Chinese women wear nylon face masks to keep off blazing sun. You could be forgiven for thinking this was a hold up. But these masked-wearers aren't robbers raiding a bank - they're middle-aged women at the beach and, at least in China, they've come suitably attired.
The beach-goers in Qingdao, in China's north-eastern Shandong province, are donning these slightly scary nylon masks to protect themselves when they take to the sand.
The mask, which was invented by a local around seven years ago, is used to block the sun's harmful rays so wearers don't have to apply sun tan lotion.
It is now under mass production and is on sale at swimwear stores along Shandong province's East China Sea coast.
