A man who remained obsessed with Burger King all his life was given the perfect send-off by his grieving family - they held his funeral at the fast food chain.

David S. Kime Jr visited his local branch of Burger King every week, to tuck into his favorite snack, the Whopper Jr. So when he died from heart complications on January 20 at the age of 88, his three daughters decided to treat him to one last trip to the restaurant in Manchester, Pennsylvania.

En route to his final resting place, the funeral procession made a detour through the branch's drive-through window, where mourners each grabbed a Whopper Jr - including an extra one for David himself.

Relatives then looked on as David's daughter Linda Phiel placed the burger in a bag on top of her dad's coffin - before it was lowered into the ground.
Linda told the York Daily Record: "He always lived by his own rules. His version of eating healthy was the lettuce on the WHOPPER JR."

Burger King manager Margaret Hess is, meanwhile, sorry to lose one of her best customers. She said: "It's nice to know he was a loyal customer up until the end - the very end."
